A New Chapter. Ambassadors of Bytom and Silesia – Now Official

Some projects begin long before the first official document appears. That is exactly how it was with Ambassadors of Bytom and Silesia.

The idea, the activities, the people, photographs, films, articles, the promotion of Bytom and Silesia, conversations and new initiatives were already there. Today marks the moment when all of this has gained a formal framework.

On 21 August 2026, we received the documents confirming the formal establishment of the Ambassadors of Bytom and Silesia Association.

The Association has been entered in the register of ordinary associations maintained by the Mayor of Bytom under number 78 and has received the identification number REGON 545521375.

For me personally, this is a very special moment, as I have the honour of serving as President of the Management Board of the Ambassadors of Bytom and Silesia Association.

This is not the beginning of our work

I want to emphasise this, because today’s date does not mean that the idea of Ambassadors of Bytom and Silesia was born today.

A great deal of work is already behind us.

For some time now, we have been showcasing Bytom, its places, its people and its potential. We have been telling the story of Silesia – both its history and its present. We promote activity, entrepreneurship, culture, sport and tourism. We look for people and initiatives whose stories deserve to reach a wider audience.

We are not starting from zero today. Today, we are beginning a new stage of something we have already been building.

Why did I decide to establish the Association?

Because I believe that love for a place can be expressed in many different ways.

You can say that you love your city. You can photograph its most beautiful places. You can tell its story.

But you can also take another step – bring people together and create a space where good ideas can become real actions.

That is exactly how I see the Ambassadors of Bytom and Silesia Association.

I would like it to bring together people from different worlds: entrepreneurs, residents, athletes, community activists, artists, young people, representatives of education and simply anyone with an idea and the energy to create something worthwhile.

We do not have to be the same. In fact, the diversity of our experiences may become our greatest strength.

Bytom. Silesia. Poland.

Bytom remains at the heart of this project.

I want to showcase the city not only through its history and architecture, but above all through the people of today, its businesses, initiatives and opportunities.

At the same time, our perspective is broader.

We want to promote Silesia as a good place to live, work, do business and invest. We want to support sport, culture, education, social integration, environmental protection and tourism.

And we want to go even further – promoting Poland and building relationships that do not end at the borders of one city or one region.

People remain the most important

You can create statutes, regulations, a website and dozens of projects.

But no organisation has meaning without people.

That is why what interests me most is who we will meet along the way, which ideas we will bring to life together and what will remain as a result of our work.

I want Ambassadors of Bytom and Silesia to be a living organisation – present in the city, among its people, in business, culture, sport and community life.

An organisation that does not merely talk about cooperation, but actually creates it.

A new chapter

For me, today’s documents are symbolic.

They are not the beginning of the story, but confirmation that all the work we have already done was worthwhile and that we can now move forward.

I have many ideas. There will undoubtedly be even more.

There will be new projects, meetings, people and stories. Not everything can be planned from the very beginning – and that is precisely what makes projects like this so exciting.

There is one thing I know for certain.

I love Bytom, and I want to share that love with others.

Not only through words.

Above all, through action.
